Tempered glass ensures durability, and the AF coating keeps touch controls responsive even if the screen is wet. The Action 5 Pro's dual touchscreens, front and rear, preview footage with restored 10-bit D-Log M color, so you can instantly adjust color and brightness for consistently high-quality original footage. HorizonBalancing only corrects horizontal shake within a range of ±45° and supports video recording up to 4K/60fps.

RockSteady 3.0

DisplayPort (DP) Output

For live-streaming scenarios, such as events or performances, DP transmission* simplifies multi-camera collaboration for live broadcasting and image monitoring. When in 4K Livestream mode, Action 5 Pro can live stream ultra-clear 4K video to displays or streaming platforms while continuing to record internally at 1080p. Alternatively, in 1080p Livestream mode, it can simultaneously record 4K video, preserving the ultra-clear quality of the original image.

FOV Boost Mode

When used with Action 5 Pro*, it can expand the field of view up to 182°**. Under the same shooting conditions, the field of view increases by 26% in width and 24% in height compared to the normal lens without FOV Boost. The ultra-wide-angle perspective delivers a striking view and a highly immersive experience, while maintaining excellent image quality.

* The FOV Boost lens must be purchased separately. The recommended operating temperature range for the FOV Boost lens is 0° to 45° C. To use the FOV Boost lens, Action 5 Pro must be updated to the latest firmware and FOV Boost mode must be enabled. Once the FOV Boost lens is properly attached, the camera is waterproof up to 5 meters. However, underwater use may cause image distortion, so it is recommended to avoid using it underwater. In FOV Boost mode, Slow Motion and Tracking modes are not available.
** Although 182° is the maximum field of view achievable with this design, the actual angle of view when shooting may vary slightly due to distortion correction and stabilization settings.

Mimo App: Smart Shooting and Editing

Once connected wirelessly to the Action 5 Pro, the Mimo app lets you preview the camera view and adjust settings. It offers multiple templates and one-touch editing. The Mimo app also includes several action camera editing features, such as Sports Dashboard, Underwater Clarity, and InvisiStick.

Download in background

While downloading a video, the Mimo app will continue to download it in the background even if you are using other apps on your phone.

*Background download performance depends on the usage policies of the systems installed on different smartphones. For a better user experience, avoid leaving the DJI Mimo app running in the background for extended periods of time, and be sure to leave the screen on at all times during downloading.

Colors restored with D-Log M

The Mimo app supports color restoration to produce D-Log M videos, allowing you to review images as you like. The process is quick and convenient, and you won't need a computer.

Live photos and high-definition screenshots

The Mimo app can generate still and live photos that include model information and shooting parameters [20]. Unlike regular video screenshots, which are limited by screen resolution (from around 1080p to 2K), DJI's Screen Capture feature can capture the screen at 4K resolution, maintaining the original image quality.

4. The hydrophobic performance of the front screen, rear screen and glass lens cover is achieved by an AF coating, which may be damaged if scratched.

5. D-Log M 10-bit and HLG 10-bit color modes can be activated in Normal, Slow Motion, and Hyperlapse video modes.

6. To use the 155° FOV, you need to disable the stabilized modes.

7. To use 32x Super Slow Motion, you must record standard 1080p/240fps videos. After recording, you can apply the slow motion effect with a single tap on the camera's playback screen. You can also add the slow motion effect to standard 4K/2.7K/1080p videos at a frame rate of 100 fps or higher.

8. Tracking mode is only available in horizontal shooting and for video recording up to 2.7K/60fps with 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios.

11. The underwater pressure indicator activates at a depth of one meter and only when the camera is submerged without the waterproof case.

12. With Auto Recording and Auto Stop enabled, the camera automatically starts recording underwater at a depth of one meter, and stops recording as soon as it is out of the water.

13. Before use, close the battery compartment and USB-C port, and tighten the glass lens cover. It is recommended to install the waterproof case for extended underwater shooting or in environments subject to strong impacts from water pressure. Osmo Action 5 Pro and the waterproof case are IP68 waterproof. Do not use the camera in hot springs or extreme underwater environments, or allow it to come into contact with corrosive or unknown liquids.
