PLATUM VAN Cargo Bike: The Electric Solution for Urban Logistics and Zero-Emission Freight Transport

The PLATUM VAN is a next-generation electric cargo bike designed by Platum to revolutionize last-mile logistics (Last-Mile Delivery), urban delivery services, and heavy-load transport for businesses, artisans, and modern families. Developed to offer a truly eco-friendly and efficient alternative to thermal vans in historic centers and restricted traffic zones (ZTL), the PLATUM VAN combines an extraordinary structural load capacity with the handling and stability of a high-performance electric bicycle. Equipped with a robust reinforced aluminum frame, a powerful high-torque mid-drive motor, and a modular cargo platform, this e-cargo bike represents the perfect combination of operational efficiency, reduced operating costs, and environmental sustainability.

Main Features and Technological Innovations

High and Modular Industrial Load Capacity

Reinforced Front/Rear Cargo Platform: Designed to accommodate insulated boxes, delivery bags, industrial containers, or passenger/child transport modules, always maintaining a low center of gravity and optimal weight balance.
High-Strength Aluminum Structure: Hydroformed frame designed to withstand heavy stresses and high payloads without compromising directional stability or torsional rigidity during maneuvers in traffic.

High-Torque Mid-Drive Motor and Dual Battery

High-Efficiency E-Cargo Drive Unit: Mid-drive motor specifically developed for e-cargo bikes, capable of delivering high torque from the very first meters to facilitate starts under full load even on sloped side streets or ramps.
Dual-Battery System (Dual Battery Ready): Supports the installation of high-energy-density batteries to ensure extended range for the entire workday without intermediate charging breaks.

Riding Safety, Components and Comfort

Multi-Piston Hydraulic Braking System: Hydraulic disc brakes derived from downhill bikes to ensure extremely short stopping distances and precise vehicle control even at full load and on wet road surfaces.
Smart LCD Display and Dedicated Gearbox: Onboard computer for controlling assistance levels and the LED lighting system, paired with a Shimano gearbox with ratios optimized for cargo use.
