DJI Dock 2: Ultra-Compact Autonomous Drone-in-a-Box Station for Remote Inspections and Continuous Mapping

The DJI Dock 2 represents the highly efficient evolution of DJI Enterprise's "Drone-in-a-Box" technology, designed to fully automate aerial missions without an on-site operator. Paired with the dedicated DJI Matrice 3D (for photogrammetry and topography) and DJI Matrice 3TD (with thermal and visual cameras for inspections and security) drones, the Dock 2 offers a 75% smaller footprint and 68% less weight than the previous generation. With an IP55 protection rating, integrated weather station, fast charging, and native cloud control via DJI FlightHub 2, the DJI Dock 2 allows for 24/7 automated patrols, site inspections, and mapping with maximum ease of installation.

Key Features and Technological Innovations

Ultra-Compact Design and Rapid Installation

Compact Weight and Dimensions: Weighing just 34 kg and with a ground footprint of only 0.58 m², it can be easily carried by two people and quickly installed on roofs, towers, or temporary structures.
Cloud-Based Site Assessment: Using the drones' sensors or 3D maps, operators can check GNSS signal quality and installation feasibility even before positioning the station.

Automated Missions and Cloud Management via DJI FlightHub 2

Route Planning and Programming: It allows you to define automated flight activities, points of interest, and 3D scanning models directly from the DJI FlightHub 2 web platform.
RTK Precision Landing: The RTK modules integrated into the dock and drone ensure centimeter-level positioning during the return phase and the closing of the acoustic-mechanical shutters.

Fast Charging and Intelligent Climate Control

Actual Charging (from 20% to 80% in just 32 minutes): It minimizes downtime between flights, ensuring continuous operations throughout the day.
Thermal Control from -25 °C to 45 °C: The integrated air conditioning system ensures the correct thermal conditions for the battery before takeoff and during charging.

IP55 Industrial Reliability and Integrated Sensors

IP55 Protection Rating: Sealed structure to withstand rain, dust, wind, and harsh weather conditions.
Weather Sensors & UPS Battery: Monitors rain, wind speed, and temperature in real time. It includes an integrated emergency battery that ensures over 5 hours of operation for the safe return of the aircraft in the event of a power outage.
