Dual camera, unsurpassed images

DJI Air 3S is equipped with a dual-camera system, consisting of a main camera with a 1" CMOS and a medium telephoto lens with a 1/1.3" CMOS. The main camera features a larger CMOS sensor and a 24mm lens, making it ideal for photographing extremely sharp landscapes with a wider field of view. The 70mm telephoto lens is perfect for capturing portraits and vehicle shots, as it compresses the depth of field and outlines subjects in more precise and detailed detail.

Main camera with 1″ CMOS: spectacular details for travel photography

The DJI Air 3S's main camera features a 1-inch 50MP CMOS sensor that can record 4K/60fps HDR and 4K/120fps video [6], and supports 10-bit D-Log M color. The large sensor, optimized by advanced image processing technology and intelligent algorithms, preserves the smallest details even in low-light conditions, such as at dusk and when shooting at night, offering easy-to-take shots that will simply take your breath away.

4K/60fps HDR video

The latest HDR video mode that delivers up to 14 stops of dynamic range,[1] capturing stunning images of high-contrast scenes, such as cloudy skies or other elements at sunrise and sunset.

4K/120fps video [6]

Optimized resolution and frame rate add a vibrant perspective to sporting events, and open up a world of exciting creative possibilities in post-production.

10-bit D-Log M and HLG video

Even in normal color mode, the Air 3S can record 10-bit video using the H.265 codec, delivering excellent color performance and maximum flexibility in post-production, with the maximum ISO increased to 12,800. In D-Log M and HLG color modes, the maximum ISO increases to 3,200, bringing greater brightness and detail to urban night scenes.

Medium telephoto: unforgettable portraits

The mid-telephoto camera, with a 1/1.3" 48MP CMOS sensor, supports the same video specifications and color modes as the main camera. This ensures visually accurate footage for easier post-production. The 70mm lens boasts 3x optical zoom, allowing you to capture unique images from a distance while keeping your subject in focus. Additionally, Air 3S can hover around your subject and record in 4K, capturing close-up shots for expressive, detail-rich portraits.

4K/60fps HDR video

Capturing close-up shots at sunset, the medium telephoto lens offers 14 stops of dynamic range [1] to sharply capture the rich, vibrant colors of the sun in the late hours of the day.

4K/120fps video [6]

The medium telephoto lens can record high-resolution 4K/120fps slow-motion video, showcasing your skills in every move.

10-bit D-Log M and HLG video

The Air 3S's mid-telephoto lens also supports 10-bit video recording in normal mode with the H.265 codec, offering excellent color performance and greater flexibility in post-production. With 10-bit D-Log M mode activated, the camera captures more detailed colors and beautifully renders vibrant city lights even at night.

Free panoramas

Both the main camera and the medium telephoto lens on DJI Air 3S feature Free Panorama mode, letting you create perfect panoramas by stitching together multiple images of a manually selected scene. The wide-angle camera offers a wider FOV for flawless panoramic shots. The medium telephoto lens significantly reduces image distortion, transforming your masterpieces into shots with a wider perspective that not only accommodates more photos but also richer detail, taking advantage of its longer focal length.

Compared to its predecessor, DJI Air 3, DJI Air 3S uses a more advanced compression algorithm for video encoding, capable of reducing image file sizes by more than 30% without compromising quality, allowing creators to save precious storage space.

DJI Air 3S also supports popular features like 2.7K vertical shooting, MasterShots, QuickShots, Hyperlapse, and more, bringing a complete creative kit to a single drone.

Safer night flights to expand creativity

Omnidirectional visual detection system

The DJI Air 3S supports Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS). Additionally, as the first DJI drone to feature forward-facing LiDAR, the Air 3S also features a downward-facing time-of-flight (ToF) infrared sensor and six vision sensors (two forward, two backward, and two downward) to detect obstacles in all directions at night. [2] This feature allows the drone to automatically identify and avoid obstacles, such as buildings, on its flight path and return, providing significant safety for nighttime footage.

RTH without GPS

Equipped with real-time mapping and vision positioning technologies, DJI Air 3S memorizes flight paths when adequate lighting is present. This ensures a safe return upon takeoff from locations with no satellite signal. [7]

With forward-facing LiDAR and low-light vision sensors, DJI Air 3S can detect obstacles like buildings, and fly around them from above,[7] even in low-light conditions, ensuring safer returns at night.

Optimized assisted vision

The DJI Air 3S's Vision Assist system adds a downward view to the existing forward, rear, and side views for greater awareness of your surroundings.

DJI Air 3S also offers Waypoint and Cruise Control flight capabilities, among other advanced features, allowing you to unleash your creativity with predefined flight paths and actions and by setting quick control stick inputs.

A new aesthetic in flight

DJI Air 3S features ActiveTrack 360° to keep your subject perfectly framed. The drone automatically plans a flight path based on its surroundings, adjusting the framing to ensure more effective shots and keep your subject in focus.

Optimized tracking performance

DJI Air 3S introduces the new Highlighted Subject feature, which keeps your subject sharply in focus, even when it moves away from the center of the frame and is captured by the manually piloted drone. Compatibility with DJI Cellular Dongle 2

The DJI Cellular Dongle 2 adapter [8] can be mounted directly on DJI Air 3S, without the use of additional accessories. In case of obstruction or interference from the O4 signal, you can rely on 4G connectivity for stable video transmission and to control the drone, improving flight safety and reducing the risk of disconnection.

DJI Air 3S comes with 42 GB of built-in memory. This lets you start recording in an instant, eliminating the need to fiddle with microSD cards.

QuickTransfer when off

Now you can send files from your DJI Air 3S to a smartphone even when the drone is powered off. [9] Transferring data to a computer can also be done with the drone powered off: just connect DJI Air 3S via a compatible USB cable.

Charging hub for energy storage batteries [10]

The battery charging hub supports PD fast charging protocol and energy storage function, to transfer the remaining power of multiple batteries with lower power to the battery with the highest remaining power. [10]

1. 14-stop dynamic range is available for auto shooting, but not for vertical or slow motion shooting.

2. Conditions to enable omnidirectional obstacle sensing in night mode: The front, rear, left, right, and top of the drone are in close proximity to textured surfaces with illumination greater than 1 lux. Likewise, the underlying ground is discernible and has diffuse reflectivity greater than 20% (such as walls, trees, or people), even in illumination conditions greater than 1 lux. DO NOT fly in adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds (wind speed of 12 m/s or higher), snow, rain, lightning, or fog. DO NOT operate the drone at altitudes of 19,685 feet (6,000 meters) or higher. DO NOT operate the drone in environments where the temperature is below -10°C (14°F) or above 40°C (104°F). DO NOT take off from moving objects such as cars or boats. DO NOT operate the drone near reflective surfaces, such as water or snow. Otherwise, the vision system may not function properly. The vision system may not function properly in low-light conditions. Always fly cautiously and avoid allowing the drone to enter Attitude Mode. DO NOT fly near areas subject to radio waves or electromagnetic interference. Common sources of magnetic and radio interference include Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, Bluetooth devices, high-voltage power lines, large-scale power transmission stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcast towers. Use caution when taking off from a desert or beach to prevent sand from entering the drone. Operate the drone in open spaces and away from crowded places. Buildings, mountains, and trees can obstruct the GNSS signal and affect the onboard compass.

Measurements taken with DJI Air 3S flying forward at a constant speed of 32.4 km/h in a windless environment at sea level, with obstacle avoidance set to Brake, in Photo mode, and with the battery level ranging from 100% to 0%. Data is for reference only. Always pay attention to notifications in the app during flight.

4. Data collected in an open, outdoor, interference-free environment and in compliance with FCC regulations. The above data shows the longest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Always pay attention to app notifications during flight.

5. Achieved using Quad Bayer Coding (QBC) techniques that combine 4 pixels into one. Not available when shooting 48MP or 50MP photos.

6. 4K/120fps video recording is only supported in Slow Motion mode.

7. Conditions for saving flight paths: The front, rear, left, right, or top of the drone are near surfaces with a defined texture and illumination above 10 lux. Likewise, the underlying terrain must be discernible and have a diffuse reflectivity greater than 20% (such as walls, trees, or people), even in illumination above 10 lux. If the drone takes off from a balcony, ensure that the usable space is at least 2 meters by 2 meters and that the height above the ground is less than 30 meters to ensure a safe return to the starting point. If the drone reaches its altitude limit while avoiding obstacles, it will hover at that height. The pilot must take manual control of the drone.

8. Must be purchased separately. Available only in the European Union.

9. DJI Air 3S maintains Bluetooth connectivity for 12 hours after being turned off, allowing you to connect directly to your smartphone without having to turn the drone back on. Bluetooth automatically deactivates 12 hours after the drone is turned off.

10. DO NOT connect the charger, external devices or insert/remove batteries when using this function.
